I’m trying to thread my BLE8 Serger & I get to the very last steps with my instruction book, but can’t make it thread. Do you have this on YouTube?
    Sincerely,
    Jodi (very discouraged).

Love, love, love your videos! I have another brand of serger and because I can never get it threaded, it just sits there unused. I certainly wish I’d known about Baby Lock when i bought my serger! Please keep the videos coming, they’re great! Thanks

    Myrna,

Currently on Sewing WIth Nancy I have a new 3-part series called the Serger Workshop. The third installment will be available online this Sunday, which featured the chain and cover stitches. Go to http://www.nancyzieman.com and view online the 52 most currently Sewing With Nancy shows.

Regarding seaming your hand knitted pieces, I agree the serger is not the answer. I am a very part-time knitter, but find the tried and true hand stitching is still the best option.

Just purchased a Baby lock Diana would like to see the chain stitch and the cover stitch used. and anything else that is new to this serger……Getting back into sewing again…Main hobby is machine knitting and was hoping the serger could help with the cut and sew method…….I tryed putting together the two edges of my knitting but was not happy with the results , too stiff do you have any suggestions. I got better results with my zig zag stitch on my sewing machine…… Thank you.

Deidre, take a deep breathe and you’ll be fine! Look for a used sewing machine to upgrade your current machine. You can sew or quilt almost all projects with a well-running sewing machine. Re-enter the sewing arena by starting with small projects. Soon you’ll regain your sewing stride!

Nancy, since 5th. Grade Sewing was my passion. I even made my Gowns for proms, etc. When my children were young I made all their clothes. My husband, a minister, became ill & I went back to work. That was just as sergers were coming out. I had no time to sew. After my husband died , I also became care-taker to 2 others members of the family. Well unfortunately, I’ve lost 3 precious members of my family & I am searching to find something to do. Nancy, I went into a Sewing Store – every thing has changed. You don’t sew w one machine, some use 3. I’m retired how do people like me return to such an expensive passion. My Elena was purchased in 1971. It’s only good for making repairs.
Believe me I began hyperventilating when I saw the prices & specialized machines.

The problem is, I have an older serger. My serger is a Toyota , vintage, when they first came out.. I can’t always do what you are doing…. it doesn’t have those capablitlies. Just a serging, nothing else… I have a 4 thread and a 3 thread, both Toyota…great machines that still work… Sometimes I wish your videos were with the older equipment… some of us can’t afford the newer models… and still sew on old machines that are good, but a bit behind the times.

Love the Evolution machine! Have had 3 other sergers and none compare to BabyLock. Bought the Serge and Merge book and am anxious to begin. Thank you for the videos. They provide a quick overview before beginning a project. Thanks Nancy and BabyLock.

I have been watching your shows for years. I try not to ever miss one. The depth of your knowledge coupled with your easy, thorough manner of teaching is wonderful. I have learned so much and have the confidence to try a lot of techniques that I probably would not have tried without your instruction. I not only own a sewing machine, but have also purchased an embroidery machine, and a serger. Keep up the good work. I am sure that I speak for a lot of women (not just myself) when I say your shows are one of the highlights of my week. I wish you and yours a wonderful and prosperous New Year… Pat Butler, Florence, Alabama

Please bring more videos, we just love them! Sheila is right we would love to have 24/7 sewing show channels. Bring them on please….. I enjoy them and would love to have this option as a learning tool for my twin grandchildren. I have spacifically added a TV to my sewing room so all I need are more sewing shows to tape and watch and learn.

If many of us would write to ask maybe some more shows can be added, such as teaching the next generation.
Thank you, Janet from Upstate NY.

Your serger video was very clear and presented me new techniques that I can use with my evolution. I especially liked the coverstitch demonstration.

Looking forward to more of your video. Thanks for continuing your TV show via Internet.
